Trying to get out of Maadi a bit and explore/enjoy more of Cairo. Maadi is great, but there is much much more here. The Khan is the large market place in downtown Cairo. Actually there are many, but this one has multiple sections as well as historical/cultural places. It also has a little lovely hotel. We stayed there last weekend for one night. Loved it! Enjoyed the area, wandered streets, and toured many of the places.
