E's Birthday, several weeks ago (David)

Several weeks ago we took a water taxi to Zamalek for E's birthday.   Zamalek is suppose to be a hip place, many embassies, restaurants and such.   It is an island across from downtown.   We have been there a couple of times, not often due to traffic.

So off we go in the taxi, a motor boat actually.

What used to be tour and entertainment boats, waiting for tourism to pick up again.

Read the sign.  Most military positions have their own clubs for eating and entertainment.

We then had lunch, wandered Zamalek and eventually took a land taxi back home.   Quite successful.
