Heading Back to Cairo (David)

On the plane about to land in Frankfurt, Germany.   Amy and I are returning to Cairo for year two.   We are very much looking forward to the year.   No longer "new" and figuring our the school and city, we will have energy for jobs, kids, friends, and travel.

Children return in ten days.  This is the first time that we have been without them for ten days ever. Yes, we are a little nervous and will be relieved when they are back in Cairo with us, but know that they will be fine.

Summer in the states was full of friends, family, and errands.  Thankfully, Columbia hasn't changed much in a year and it felt like we were just there.   We dropped right into socializing and moving around the city.  We still love Columbia as our home.  We also saw David's family in Florida and a good portion of Amy's family in Michigan.

We look forward to returning to our life in Cairo and the routines that we know.  Upcoming travels will take us to Switzerland, Amy to Belgium, David to Istanbul.    Kids will likely travel depending on their teams and activities, but that will become clear at the start of the year.

Stay tuned.
