Local Shopping (David)
We went to the local market this morning. It is on Road 7, which puts it seven blocks away. Not too far. Over the metro tracks and down a street.
Yes, a market. Think farmers market.
Goats turned up too.
Elliot found a new friend, very affectionate!
Amy loved her veggies!
Later Elliot had a lesson in carpet making.

Neighborhood - Road 9 (David)
We went out to dinner due to the late night curfew of 9:00 pm. Good fajitas and burger. A terrific eclair for dessert!
Today we then took a walk around Road 9. Lots of different shops and restaurants. Most we're closed as it is the Hold Day today. But nice finds for coming days.
Yummy, $1.50

New Friends (David)
Second day of school and I am happy to say that Anna and Elliot having a good time. New friends for both. They are loving the 20 minute break between classes (classes are 85 minutes long) and their multiple food kiosk options on campus (panini, smoothies, and snacks)! So far, so good.

What are a couple of energetic kids to do when school is delayed? (Amy)
All week David and I have been working and the kids have been all over the place. Anna babysat some days. Elliot worked for some teachers getting their rooms ready, but they also apparently took some photos. I found these today.

Evening Feeding (David)
Every night the maid comes back to feed the kitties. There are many. The precious tenants left money to find the food and taxi ride. It's a nightly event.

Flowers (David)
Most, if not all, of our transportation is by walking. We walk to school. Walk to friends house. Walk to the store. Walk to restaurants. Walk in search of a store that has what we need. Lots I walking.
Many walks involve cars and motorbikes zooming around and hot/sunny experiences.
But, in our neighborhood and along many of the streets, on can fine flowers and flowering trees. They definitely add a touch of pleasantness to the walking events.
