Went to a camel market this morning. Yes, camel. Outside of Cairo, about an hour, there is a place where hundreds of camels are bought and sold. The camels are in groups by who owns them and are marked. A leg is tied to keep them from escaping quickly, though they are still pretty fast on three legs. There is a lot of yelling and hitting of the camels. Not the cleanest place. Definitely something different. I kept wondering if it was like a cattle auction out west. Hmmm.

This is the best blog! The camels (all dromedary) look quite good! How much do they cost?
